How to Play M3U Playlists on iPhone and iPad

Doubo is a native IPTV player for iPhone and iPad. It reads your playlist’s groups and logos, and keeps watching in Picture in Picture while you use other apps.

What you need

  • An iPhone or iPad with iOS / iPadOS 17 or later
  • The Doubo app
  • An M3U / M3U8 playlist link or file

Steps

  1. Add the playlist

Open Doubo, tap Add and paste your M3U link, or import a .m3u / .m3u8 file from the Files app.

  2. Browse and search

Channels are grouped automatically. Search by channel or group name, and star the ones you watch most.

  3. Watch and multitask

Tap a channel to play. Swipe home to keep watching in Picture in Picture.

  4. Put it on the TV

Use the cast icon to send the channel to a DLNA smart TV, or Screen Mirroring in Control Center for an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV.

Try it in your browser first

No install needed. Doubo’s web player opens free live channels right away, and plays your own M3U links too.

Questions

Can Safari play M3U playlists?
