IPTV player for iPhone & iPad — Apple TestFlight beta

Doubo is an IPTV app made for iPhone and iPad with SwiftUI and Apple’s own player, so live channels start fast, use little battery and keep playing in Picture in Picture while you use other apps.

Apple TestFlight beta. Picture in Picture, DLNA casting, TV remote, catch-up and dual audio described here refer to the Apple beta. TV discovery and casting depend on the Apple build and network permissions. These features are not all available on Android, Windows or the web player.

Why Doubo on iPhone and iPad

Built natively for iOS

Apple’s AVKit player with hardware decoding, landscape full screen, subtitle tracks and playback speed. Nothing runs in a web view.

Picture in Picture

Swipe home and the channel keeps playing in a floating window over other apps.

Add playlists from anywhere

Paste an M3U link, import a .m3u / .m3u8 file from the Files app, or sign in with Xtream Codes. Your last 20 playlists are remembered.

Cast and control the TV

Send a channel to a DLNA smart TV, then use the built-in universal remote for Roku, Samsung, LG and DLNA TVs.

Quality and catch-up

Choose the HLS quality that fits your connection and replay programmes on channels that offer catch-up.

Your data stays on the phone

Playlists and favorites are stored on the device; Xtream Codes passwords only in the iOS Keychain.

How to get started

  1. Install Doubo

Get Doubo for iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later). Beta builds are available now through TestFlight; join the Discord for the link.

  2. Add your playlist

Tap Add and paste your M3U link, choose a playlist file in Files, or enter your Xtream Codes details.

  3. Watch anywhere

Pick a channel, rotate for full screen, swipe home for Picture in Picture or cast it to the TV.

Try it in your browser first

Open the free web player and import a playlist link or file. CORS, HTTPS, codec, regional and provider restrictions can prevent playback; native apps also remain subject to source restrictions.

Questions

What is the best IPTV player for iPhone?

Look for M3U and Xtream Codes support, Picture in Picture, channel groups and search, and a clear privacy policy. Doubo covers all of these with a native iOS app, so you can try it with your own playlist and compare.

How do I watch IPTV on iPhone?

Install an IPTV player such as Doubo, add your M3U link or Xtream Codes login, and tap a channel. The step-by-step guide walks through each step.

Does Doubo work on iPad?

Yes. The same app runs on iPad with iPadOS 17 or later, with a sidebar layout and Picture in Picture.

Can I play an M3U8 link on iPhone?

Yes. Paste the .m3u8 link into Doubo. It opens both playlists of many channels and single HLS live streams.

Does it support AirPlay or Chromecast?

Doubo casts to DLNA smart TVs today, and AirPlay is on the roadmap. Automatic TV discovery on iPhone and iPad is waiting on an Apple network permission; Mac isn’t affected.
