Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Doubo app (“the app”) and this website handle your information.

1. The Doubo app

The app does not collect or upload any personal data.

• On-device storage: Playlist URLs you add, imported playlist files, favorites, recently played channels, playlist history, and settings are stored only on your device. You can clear them at any time in the app’s Settings.
• No analytics or ad SDKs: The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking components.
• Network requests: The app only contacts the playlist, stream, and logo URLs you add or select, in order to download and play content. Those requests go directly to the third-party servers involved, which handle them under their own privacy policies (for example, they may log your IP address). We never see these requests.
• Availability checks: When you check channels, the app sends a small number of requests to each stream URL to see whether it responds. Results are kept on your device only.
• Local network: When you use DLNA casting, the app searches your local network for TVs and sends the stream URL to the device you choose. This requires the Local Network permission, and this data never leaves your local network.
• File access: The app only reads files you explicitly pick in the system file picker.

2. This website

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages and uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how it is used (for example, visits, referrers, pages viewed, and clicks on download buttons) so we can improve it.

• Information collected: Device and browser type, approximate location (city or country level), referring page, pages visited and interactions, and an anonymous identifier stored in a cookie. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
• Cookies and consent: We use Google Consent Mode. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set only after you click “Accept”. Elsewhere, you can click “Decline” at any time to turn analytics cookies off. Advertising storage is always off. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
• Processor: Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Hosting: GitHub, as the host, may log visitors’ IP addresses for security and operational purposes. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
• Retention: Google Analytics data retention is set to 14 months.

3. Children’s privacy

The app and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

4. Your choices

You can clear the app’s on-device data or delete the app at any time. For website analytics, you can decline or withdraw cookie consent. For questions or requests about data handling, contact us through the Support page.

5. Changes

When this policy changes, we’ll update the effective date on this page. Significant changes will be noted on the website or in the app’s release notes.
